GCL has deployed wind and solar power bases in Xinjiang to support thermal power generation, and offshore wind power bases along the coast of Jiangsu to support high-efficiency cogeneration.

GCL Wind Power Generation projects have the characteristics of good wind resources, advanced units, high degree of intelligence and short delivery cycle. So far, the total installed capacity of GCL wind power grid-connected operation is 818MW.

The total investment of GCL Jiande Pumped Storage Power Station is RMB 14 billion. It is planned to build 6X400MW reversible turbine generator sets with a total installed capacity of 2,400 MW. It is the largest pumped storage power station currently planned by the East China Power Grid. It is mainly responsible for peak regulation, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase regulation and emergency standby tasks of the East China Power Grid.

Relying on its abundant natural gas resources in Ethiopia, GCL cooperates with domestic LNG receiving stations and operating channels to actively promote the “Belt and Road” energy cooperation.
